Hozier

Hozier launched his professional music career touring with the choral ensemble Anúna from 2009 to 2012 and performing at the Oxegen festivals in 2009 and 2010. He achieved widespread recognition with his debut single ‘Take Me to Church’ in September 2013, which became a U.S. rock radio hit, peaking at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning multi-platinum certifications. The accompanying music video, addressing homophobia, garnered significant global attention.

In October 2021, he collaborated with Meduza on ‘Tell It to My Heart.’ His single ‘Swan Upon Leda’ (October 2022) was followed by a collaboration with Bear McCreary on ‘Blood Upon the Snow’ for ‘God of War: Ragnarök’ (November 2022). Hozier then released the extended play ‘Eat Your Young’ (March 2023), preceding his third studio album, ‘Unreal Unearth,’ which launched in August 2023 and quickly reached number one in Ireland and the UK. In March 2024, Hozier released the EP ‘Unheard,’ which included ‘Too Sweet,’ becoming his first number-one single in Ireland, the US, and the UK. He further showcased his activism at Lollapalooza 2024 in August, performing ‘Nobody’s Soldier’ and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

In 2024, he also released the EP ‘Unaired’ and a deluxe version of his latest album, titled ‘Unreal Unearth: Unending.’ Recognized for consistently using his platform to address critical social and political issues, including LGBTQ+ rights, anti-homelessness efforts, and racial justice, Hozier is set to be named one of the 100 most influential people by Time magazine in 2025.
