Hujan is a Malaysian indie rock band that formed in Kuala Lumpur in 2005. The band was founded by vocalist Noh Salleh and lead guitarist AG Coco. Their fanbase is known as ‘Raingers’. Hujan began by uploading demos to Myspace as a solo project, which led to AG Coco contacting Noh to use his songs for study material. The band’s first live performance took place on February 17, 2006, at Malam Pesta Gagalis Ubu in Lost Generation Space, with Noh Salleh and Hang Dimas. This initial period established Hujan within the Malaysian independent music scene.
In 2007, Hujan released two EPs, “1, 2, 3, Go!” and “Check Check Rock Rock,” through the independent record label Noh Phrofile Enterprise. The single “Pagi Yang Gelap” from “1, 2, 3, Go!” gained significant radio airplay on indie stations like X FM, contributing to their mainstream recognition. The band continued to release music, including six studio albums and one live album, “Live at Planet Hollywood” in 2009. That same year, Hujan received awards for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song at the Anugerah Industri Muzik. In September 2009, Izzat Uzaini joined Hujan as the new bassist for the “Mencari Konklusi Tour”, replacing former members Nazeri Nazirul and Azhar Imran. Current members include Noh Salleh, AG Coco, Azham Ahmad, and Izzat Uzaini.
Over their career, Hujan has consistently participated in notable events and collaborations, maintaining their presence in the music industry.
