Imase is a self-taught Japanese singer-songwriter and producer known for his viral music and collaborations with global artists and brands. After releasing his debut single ‘Have a Nice Day’ in December 2021 through Universal Music Japan, Imase quickly established himself as a prominent singer-songwriter and producer. His rapid ascent in the music industry was underscored when his second release, ‘Touhikou,’ achieved the number one position on the TikTok Hot Song Weekly Ranking on Billboard Japan. Demonstrating a unique ability to craft original, viral music, Imase leveraged digital platforms to build a significant following within his first year.
That same year, he headlined his ‘Imase Tour 2023 Utopia’ across Japan in October, with sold-out performances at venues including Big Cat, Nagoya Club Quattro, and Zepp Shinjuku. His song ‘Outline’ was selected as the official theme song for the 103rd All Japan High School Soccer Tournament in 2024, culminating in a live performance at the tournament final on January 13, 2025. Building on his momentum, Imase released his highly anticipated first studio album, ‘Bonsai,’ in May 2024. He is set to make his debut performance at the iconic Nippon Budokan on July 25, 2025.
Following this landmark event, Imase announced a temporary break from artistic activities starting August 4, 2025, due to health considerations, with plans to return to his prolific career.
