Lee Ryan

Lee Ryan is a British singer, songwriter, and actor, known for his role as the lead singer of the boy band Blue and his acting appearances in television and film. After embarking on his career in 2000 as a member of the acclaimed boy band Blue, Lee Ryan went on to achieve global success, selling over 15 million records worldwide during the group’s initial run from 2000 to 2004. Alongside Simon Webbe, Duncan James, and Antony Costa, Blue became a major force in pop music, collaborating with legendary artists such as Elton John and Stevie Wonder. Ryan’s contributions extended beyond vocals, as he co-directed the music video for and co-wrote Blue’s hit single ‘Breathe Easy.’ Following Blue’s initial disbandment in 2004, Ryan launched a successful solo music career.

6 in the UK and No. 3 in Italy, featuring singles like ‘Turn Your Car Around’ and ‘When I Think of You.’ In 2006, his song ‘Real Love’ was featured in the animated film Ice Age: The Meltdown, where he also lent his voice to an elk in the UK version and the character Eddie in the Italian version. Ryan expanded his television presence with appearances on Hell’s Kitchen in 2007 and Celebrity Big Brother in 2014, and notably rejoined Blue in 2011 to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest. Ryan further diversified his career into acting, joining the cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders in 2017 as Harry ‘Woody’ Woodward, a role he portrayed until 2018 and for which he received an Inside Soap Award nomination for Best Newcomer.
