K.Maro first gained recognition in 1993 as part of the French-language hip-hop duo LMDS (Les Messagers du Son), achieving success within Quebec with two albums: ‘Les Messagers du Son’ in 1997 and ‘Il Faudrait Leur Dire’ in 1999. Following the duo’s disbandment in 2001, K.Maro launched a solo career, achieving a significant international breakthrough in 2004 with the single ‘Femme Like U’ from his album ‘La Good Life.’ ‘Femme Like U’ soared to number one in 17 countries and sold over two million copies, while the accompanying album ‘La Good Life’ sold more than one million copies. He built on this success with his third album, ‘Million Dollar Boy,’ released in 2005, which earned Platinum certification. Further expanding his musical output, K.Maro released ‘Platinum Remixes’ in 2006 to commemorate a decade in music, followed by his first all-English album, ‘Perfect Stranger,’ in 2008.
His entrepreneurial portfolio also expanded to include hospitality ventures, with the establishment of a nightclub in Montreal and a restaurant in Miami, showcasing his diverse business acumen. Today, K.Maro stands as the founder, owner, and CEO of both East 47th Music and Rock&Cherries Agency, a Paris-based talent management agency, with both entities operating under the umbrella of his Kamar Entertainment Group (KEG). He has also founded Maison Keï Akai. K.Maro has successfully evolved from a celebrated international recording artist, achieving global chart success and millions in sales, to a prominent entrepreneur building a comprehensive portfolio of entertainment companies, record labels, and brand partnerships across music, fashion, and hospitality.
