Kard has established itself as a pioneering co-ed K-pop group, known for its unique musical style and significant international presence. After quickly garnering significant international attention with their pre-debut project singles, KARD, a pioneering co-ed K-pop group formed by DSP Media, released ‘Oh NaNa’ in December 2016, which reached number 5 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. This success, followed by ‘Don’t Recall’ (February 2017) and ‘Rumor’ (April 2017), led Billboard to recognize them as one of the ’10 Best New K-pop Groups in 2016.’ The group officially debuted on July 19, 2017, with their extended play (EP) ‘Hola Hola,’ charting at number 3 on Billboard World Albums and number 46 on the Independent Album Chart. Its title track, ‘Hola Hola,’ reached number 4 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, culminating in KARD receiving the Asia Artist Awards’ Rookie of the Year Award Music in 2017.
Building on their debut, KARD embarked on the fully sold-out ‘2017 Wild Kard Tour’ across Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, extending their global reach with ‘2017 Wild Kard Tour PT. 2’ in Europe and North America. Their second EP, ‘You & Me’ (November 2017), solidified international appeal, charting at number 8 on the Gaon Album Chart and number 4 on the US World Albums Chart. That year, KARD performed at Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival and KCON Los Angeles.
They continued their musical output in 2024 with the mini-album ‘Where to Now? (Pt. 1: Yellow Light)’ and have announced their 8th mini-album, ‘Drift,’ scheduled for release in July 2025.
