Kat Dahlia cemented her professional career after independently financing an extended play (EP) and a music video, which led to her discovery by Amanda Berkowitz, VP of A&R at Vested in Culture. This pivotal moment introduced her to veteran record executive Sylvia Rhone, who subsequently signed Dahlia to her newly established label, Vested in Culture (VIC), a joint venture with Epic Records, in 2012. Rhone notably described Dahlia as ‘more than just a pop artist,’ signaling her unique potential. Dahlia’s powerful debut single and accompanying music video for VIC, ‘Gangsta,’ released in March 2013, quickly garnered positive critical reception, with MTV highlighting its ‘fierce rapping’ and evocative visual storytelling.

A bilingual artist, Dahlia performs and composes in both English and Spanish, highlighting her broad appeal and artistic depth. Looking ahead, Kat Dahlia is set to release her highly anticipated fourth studio album, ‘Electrika,’ in April 2025.
