KC and the Sunshine Band have been entertaining audiences around the world for over 37 years, and have sold in excess of 100 million records. Their music has featured at every major sporting event in the world including the Super Bowl, The World Cup, The Indianapolis 500, The Kentucky Derby and many Holiday Parades as well as at thousands of private weddings, anniversaries and Bar Mitzvahs and in more than 200 motion picture film soundtracks.
Rightly so, the founder and leader of KC and the Sunshine Band, Harry Wayne Casey has been called the ‘Founder of the Dance Revolution.’ The music that got people out of their seats and onto the dance floor originated with humble beginnings in Hialeah, Florida in 1973. From clothing to hairstyles to dance styles to new acceptable words in the English language, KC and the Sunshine Band have meant business since day one, starting out with four number one records in a row, Grammy Awards, Peoples Choice Awards, American Music Awards and much more besides. Records like ‘Blow Up Your Whistle’, ‘Get Down Tonight’ and ‘Boogie Shoes’ are all timeless classics loved by people from all backgrounds all over the planet.
