Kelly Hogan

As the distinct vocalist and guitarist for The Jody Grind, Kelly Hogan gained initial recognition in the early 1990s, establishing her versatile vocal style across multiple genres. The band released their debut album, ‘One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure,’ in 1990, followed by ‘Lefty’s Deceiver’ in 1992. Hogan’s powerful presence on these critically noted albums showcased her dynamic range and cemented her foundation in the music industry. Following her tenure with The Jody Grind, Hogan continued her trajectory in the music scene by joining The RockATeens, where she contributed to their 1996 self-titled debut EP and the subsequent 1997 full-length album ‘Cry.’ Transitioning to a solo career in the mid-1990s, Hogan unveiled her debut solo album, ‘The Whistle Only Dogs Can Hear,’ in 1996.

With The Flat Five, she released ‘It’s a World of Love and Hope’ in 2016. Her vocal versatility was further highlighted through collaborations such as on Mavis Staples’ ‘We Get By’ in 2019. Most recently, Kelly Hogan reunited with The Flat Five to release their album ‘Another World’ in 2020, continuing to cement her status as a revered and highly sought-after vocalist in the industry for her distinctive voice and prolific output.
