KiDi’s career launched in 2015 when he won the MTN Hitmaker competition, a pivotal moment that led to his signing with Lynx Entertainment. He rapidly rose to prominence in 2017 with the release of his self-composed, arranged, and produced single ‘Say You Love Me.’ That same year, his track ‘Odo’ swiftly became a chart-topper, further bolstered by a December 2017 remix featuring Nigerian artists Davido and Mayorkun. He continued this success with ‘Adiepena’ in April 2018, and was nominated for six Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2018, ultimately winning ‘High-life Song of the Year’ at the event. Demonstrating his versatility and captivating stage presence, KiDi graced numerous major stages throughout 2017, including the Rapperholic Concert, Ghana Music Honors, December to Remember, and the S Concert.

‘The Golden Boy’ was honored with the ‘Album of the Year Award’ at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The year 2021 also saw him secure ‘Artist of the Year,’ ‘EP of the Year’ for ‘BLUE,’ ‘Song of the Year’ for ‘Enjoyment,’ and ‘Afro Beat Song of the Year’ for ‘Enjoyment’ at the 3Music Awards. Continuing his award-winning streak, KiDi was named ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, where he also claimed ‘Album of the Year’ for ‘The Golden Boy,’ ‘Video of the Year’ for ‘Mon Bebe,’ and ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’ for ‘Touch It.’ KiDi’s consistent output of chart-topping hits and influential collaborations has solidified his position as a leading force in contemporary African music, celebrated for his unique blend of Afrobeats and Highlife. Most recently, in 2024, he received the ‘Collaboration of the Year’ award for his track ‘Liquor’ featuring Stonebwoy.

He continues to push the boundaries of his genre, captivating audiences globally and expanding his creative footprint across music and entertainment platforms.
