Request A ShowIn January 2014, Krewella partnered with EDM lifestyle brand Electric Family to produce a collaboration bracelet for which 100% of the proceeds are donated to Dance For Paralysis. This collaboration raised over $17,000.
As part of a new partnership with Orangetheory Fitness, Krewella's single, “Greenlights” was featured in their fitness advertisements.
In 2017, Krewella partnered with dance-fitness program Zumba to create a song called "I Got This" for their new STRONG program.
As of July 2018, Krewella was featured in Coke Studio (Pakistan) Season 11 as featured artists and were part of the promo song "Hum Dekhenge." Their featured Coke Studio debut song "Runaway" (a rendition of their previous single) was an instant hit, reconnecting them with their Pakistani roots.
Due to the cancellation of the "zer0" Tour, Krewella worked with Insomniac Events to create the "zer0 Live Concert Experience"; a virtual event held on November 27, 2020.
Krewella, an American electronic dance music band, was formed in 2007 by sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf. The group gained early recognition with their debut extended play, “Play Hard,” released in 2012, which reached number six on the Billboard Top Dance Albums chart. Their debut album, “Get Wet,” followed in 2013, achieving the top spot on the Billboard Top Dance Albums chart and peaking at number eight on the Billboard 200. The single “Alive,” featured on both releases, was a commercial success, reaching number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling over a million copies globally.
Throughout their career, Krewella has performed at numerous EDM festivals, including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Stereosonic, Spring Awakening, Sunburn Festival, and Paradiso. These performances contributed to their receiving the 2012 International Dance Music Award for “Best Breakthrough Artist.” In January 2014, the group collaborated with Electric Family to create a charity bracelet benefiting Dance For Paralysis, raising over $17,000. Following legal proceedings, Kris Trindl departed the group in 2014. The sisters continued to release new music, including the EP “Ammunition” in 2016 and “New World Pt. 1” in 2017 while establishing their own record label, Mixed Kids Records.
In recent years, Krewella has continued to release new material and explore collaborations. They contributed to the “Love Song to the Earth” alongside various artists in 2015. Their second studio album, “zer0,” was released in 2020, followed by “The Body Never Lies” in 2022. They have collaborated with artists such as Jauz, Nucleya, Nervo, and Yellow Claw, diversifying their sound and reach. After a period of inactivity, Krewella announced their return in 2025 with the single “Crying On The Dancefloor,” marking a new chapter in their musical journey.
