Niles Hollowell-Dhar, known professionally as KSHMR, is an American musician, DJ, songwriter, and record producer recognized for blending electronic dance music with cinematic sounds and traditional instrumentation. After achieving a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100, Niles Hollowell-Dhar, known professionally as KSHMR, went on to establish a significant presence in electronic dance music, recognized for blending cinematic sounds with traditional instrumentation. He initially gained recognition as one half of the hip-hop/electro duo The Cataracs, formed in 2003. The duo saw major success in 2010 with ‘Like a G6,’ a collaboration with Far East Movement and Dev that soared to number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

They also produced the hit ‘Bass Down Low’ with DEV and contributed production to Selena Gomez’s debut album, ‘Stars Dance.’ After continuing The Cataracs name following his partner’s departure in 2012, Hollowell-Dhar transitioned to his KSHMR alias in 2014. Prior to his official launch as KSHMR, he contributed to notable tracks such as ‘Tsunami’ by DVBBS and Borgeous, and ‘Stampede’ by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DVBBS, and Borgeous. His debut single ‘Megalodon’ was released through Spinnin’ Records on February 24, 2014, and his collaboration ‘Burn’ with DallasK swiftly reached number one on Beatport, released across Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’ Records, and Ultra Records. KSHMR’s identity was publicly revealed by Tiësto at Ultra Music Festival 2015, marking a pivotal moment in his career.

Most recently, KSHMR released ‘KARAM’ in 2023, adding to his extensive catalog of celebrated tracks. His continuous innovation in sound design, combined with his proven track record of chart-topping hits and impactful live performances, solidifies his position as a globally recognized and highly sought-after artist.
