From an early age, Ki was immersed in a musical environment, beginning piano instruction. Alongside her musical pursuits, she also developed an interest in art and illustration. She pursued higher education, earning an associate’s degree in Arts and Music from a community college. Her career began to gain traction in 2010 when she started creating videos on YouTube, followed by streaming on Twitch in 2012. Her early content included gaming, art, and music, building a foundation for her diverse online presence.

Ki’s breakthrough moment occurred in 2011 with the viral success of her parody song “I’ll Quit LoL,” which quickly garnered millions of views on YouTube. This early popularity established her as a notable figure in the online community. In 2015, she
transitioned into musical releases with her extended play, “Lilies.” A subsequent viral event in July 2017 involved a video of her playing the melodica for cosplayers at PopCon Indy, which became her most-viewed YouTube video at the time. This period marked a significant expansion of her audience and influence. The same month, she became a member of OfflineTV, an online social entertainment group comprising content creators, further integrating her into the broader streaming landscape. Her involvement with OfflineTV provided a platform for collaborative projects and increased her visibility among diverse online audiences.

Throughout her career, Lily Ki has achieved several significant milestones in various entertainment sectors. In 2018, she was featured in a series of YouTube advertisements for Riot Games’ “League of Legends,” highlighting her growing recognition within the gaming community. By 2020, she was recognized as the fifth most-watched female Twitch streamer and received a nomination for the Shorty Award for Twitch Streamer of the Year. Her reach extended to brand collaborations, including an advertisement for 5 Gum in 2020.
