Maria Gabriela de Faria

María Gabriela de Faría Chacón, born on September 11, 1992, in Caracas, Venezuela, began her acting career at a young age, appearing in Venezuelan telenovelas such as “Ser bonita no basta,” “Túkiti, crecí de una,” and “Toda una dama.” Her early career also included co-hosting the children’s program “La merienda” in 2007. At 17, she gained widespread recognition across Latin America as a teen idol for her starring role as Isabella “Isa” Pasquali in Nickelodeon Latin America’s “Isa TKM” (2008-2009) and its sequel “Isa TK+” (2009-2010). Her involvement extended to the soundtrack of these popular shows, further cementing her status among young audiences.

Following her success with Nickelodeon, de Faría continued to build her television career, portraying Mia Novoa in “Grachi” (2011-2013) and Franky Andrade in “Yo soy Franky” (2015-2016). She also took on more adult roles, such as Juana Pérez in “La Virgen de la Calle” (2014), which served as the basis for the American series “Jane The Virgin.” Her film career includes appearances in “El Paseo 2” with John Leguizamo (2012), “Crossing Point” (2016), and the romantic comedy “Plan V” (2018). In 2019, she starred as Maria Salazar in the series “Deadly Class” and as Cora in “The Moodys” (2019–2021). Her recent work includes the horror film “The Exorcism of God” (2021) and “The Duel” (2023).

A significant milestone in her career development is her casting in the DC Universe as Angela Spica / The Engineer in the 2025 film “Superman.” This role marks her entry into major international film franchises and highlights her progression from regional acclaim to global recognition.
