Maverick City

Maverick City Music rapidly redefined contemporary worship music after forming in 2018 under the vision of Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay. The collective cultivated a vibrant community of over one hundred Christian artists and songwriters through seventeen initial songwriting camps, establishing a dedicated label to showcase diverse and marginalized voices in the genre. Maverick City Music swiftly released its debut extended plays, Maverick City, Vol. 1 and Maverick City, Vol.

2, in 2019, both of which immediately gained recognition on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart. Continuing its prolific output, the collective launched Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1 and Maverick City, Vol. 3 Pt.

In 2023, Maverick City Music launched ‘The Maverick Way Tour,’ continuing its commitment to authentic worship and community building. The collective is set to release Live at Maverick City in 2025. This upcoming release follows the announced departures of members Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine in 2025, who will focus on individual ministries, marking a new chapter for the influential collective.
