Noel Santos Román, known as Noriel, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1994. He began his musical journey in grade school, later forming the duo Kenxiel & Noriel with Carlos R. Pedraza Lacen. In 2014, the duo released the charting single “Miedo a Morir” featuring Johnny Stone. Noriel gained significant recognition as a collaborator on numerous tracks by other artists before embarking on his solo career.
His breakthrough came in 2016, spurred by his involvement in Maluma’s “Cuatro Babys.” That same year, Noriel released solo digital singles like “La Llamada” (featuring Brytiago) and “Diablita” (featuring Anuel AA and Baby Rasta), which charted successfully. These tracks were compiled into his debut album, “Trap Capos: Season 1,” featuring collaborations with artists such as Farruko and Miky Woodz. The album achieved double platinum certification.
Noriel continued his prolific output, releasing nine singles in 2017, including the gold-certified “Desperté Sin Ti” and the platinum track “Doble Personalidad” with Yandel, which later earned triple platinum status with its remix. In 2018, his album “Trap Capos II” reached the Top Ten on the Top Latin Albums chart and quickly achieved platinum status. He subsequently toured in the U.S., the Caribbean, and Mexico. His 2019 collaboration “Cuerpo en Venta” went triple platinum. Noriel released his third album, “Trap Island,” in May 2024, continuing his signature style with collaborations on half of its tracks, featuring artists like Brytiago and Eladio Carrion.
