Fireboy DML’s breakthrough arrived with the single ‘Jealous,’ which first featured on YBNL Nation’s collaborative album, ‘YBNL Mafia Family’ in 2018, before its re-release in March 2019. This track, blending guitar riffs, traditional drums, and African harmonies with country and soul elements, solidified his unique ‘Afro-Life’ sound and followed his signing with prominent record label YBNL Nation in 2018. Building on this success, he released his critically acclaimed debut studio album, ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps,’ in November 2019, which amassed over 6 million streams on Spotify within three days of its release.
