Oh Chentaku has established themselves as a resilient and dynamic alternative rock band, known for their consistent stage performances and evolving sound. After releasing their debut album, Heartbreak Ridge Was Never This Arrogant, in 2007, Malaysian alternative rock band Oh Chentaku rapidly established themselves as a dynamic force in the music scene. The independent group followed this with their second album, Suitcase, A Scarf and the Departure, in 2009, alongside five EPs, cultivating a distinct sound that evolved from emo pop-punk to progressive rock, blending punk, pop, and electro influences. Oh Chentaku quickly expanded their international reach, undertaking successful tours to Dublin-London (2009), Amsterdam (2009), York-Barcelona (2010), and performing at the Playden Showcase Singapore (2010), in addition to extensive tours across Indonesia and Asia.
In 2019, Oh Chentaku further diversified their creative output by forming The Jameson Project with Incarnation, continuing to explore new artistic avenues. Recognized for their resilient spirit and dynamic stage performances, the band consistently delivers an evolving sound to audiences both locally and internationally, solidifying their status as an enduring force in alternative rock.
