Paco Versailles

Paco Versailles is a musical duo known for their distinctive style, which they refer to as ‘Dancemenco.’ The group consists of songwriter and producer Ryan Merchant, alongside Vahagni Aryan, a Spanish-trained flamenco guitarist and producer. Their sound integrates flamenco guitar rhythms with electronic production and vocals, drawing inspiration from both traditional Spanish music and French electronic artists.

The genesis of Paco Versailles involved imagining a collaboration between legendary Spanish guitarist Paco De Lucia and electronic acts like Daft Punk and Air. This conceptual foundation led to their unique approach, merging acoustic instrumentation with modern dance rhythms. The duo commenced their active period in the 2020s, releasing their debut album, “Young in California,” in 2023. This was followed by “Olé Maca” in 2024. Their discography also features various songs such as “Unwind,” “Past Life,” “Something New,” and “Deal With Love.”

Their career progression has included a series of successful performances at prominent music festivals globally, including Austin City Limits, Outside Lands, and Pal Norte. They have also conducted sold-out headline shows in cities including Los Angeles, Mexico City, London, San Francisco, and New York City. The duo continues to produce new music and schedule tour dates, with their third studio album, “Olé Maca,” released on September 13, 2024.
