PNL comprises French rap siblings Ademo and N.O.S, delivering melodic trap music that merges street realism with reflective themes. After officially forming in 2014, French rap duo PNL swiftly established a unique presence in the music industry. Their early work, recognized for its distinct sound and lyrical depth, led to the release of their mixtape ‘Que la famille’ in 2015. Later that year, PNL debuted their first studio album, ‘Le Monde Chico,’ which achieved significant commercial success, earning 2x platinum certification in France by 2016 for selling over 200,000 copies.
PNL continued their trajectory of success into 2018, releasing the chart-topping singles ‘À l’ammoniaque’ and ’91’s,’ both of which reached number one on the French singles chart. In 2019, the duo unveiled their highly anticipated third album, ‘Deux frères,’ which shattered records by selling over 100,000 copies in its first week, marking a historic achievement for French rap. The album featured the number one single ‘Au DD,’ whose iconic music video was notably filmed atop the Eiffel Tower, distinguishing PNL as the first musical duo to achieve this feat. That same year, PNL expanded their brand with the launch of their QLF merchandise collection in June 2019, encompassing sneakers, tracksuits, jeans, and T-shirts, and made an appearance at the Off-White fashion show in Paris.
Apple Music subsequently announced a partnership with PNL in 2019, involving co-branded videos and promotional activities. In 2020, the duo received the prestigious Best Music Video award at the Victoires de la Musique for ‘Au DD.’ Further expanding their narrative, Netflix France released an hour-long documentary in July 2020, chronicling their acclaimed ‘Dans la légende’ tour from 2017.
