Roam, a dynamic British rock band hailing from Eastbourne, England, has made significant strides in the pop punk genre since their formation in 2012. The band, consisting of vocalist Alex Costello, bass guitarist Matt Roskilly, lead guitarist Alex Adam, rhythm guitarist Sam Veness, and drummer Miles Gill, quickly established themselves as a formidable force in the music scene. Their early years were marked by the independent release of two EPs, “No Common Ground” and “Head Down,” showcasing their talent and paving the way for their signing with Hopeless Records in 2014.

In 2016, Roam released their debut album, “Backbone,” which received critical acclaim and solidified their presence in the pop punk community. The album’s success was further amplified by their participation in the Kerrang! Tour, where they supported iconic bands like Sum 41. Following a lineup change, with Miles Gill stepping in as the full-time drummer, Roam continued to tour extensively, including every date of the 2016 Warped Tour, demonstrating their commitment to live performances and fan engagement.

The band’s evolution continued with the release of their second album, “Great Heights & Nosedives,” in 2017, which further showcased their growth as musicians and songwriters. In 2019, they announced their third album, “Smile Wide,” featuring hit singles like “I Don’t Think I Live There Anymore” and “Piranha,” which resonated with fans and critics alike. Their collaboration with With Confidence on a European tour highlighted their ability to connect with audiences across the continent.

Despite announcing their split in 2022, Roam’s legacy in the pop punk genre remains impactful.
