Tucker Pillsbury, born on May 15, 1997, in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, began his musical journey as a rapper before transitioning into a singer/songwriter under the moniker ROLE MODEL. He gained recognition for his reflective lyrical style and vocal delivery, which contributed to his distinct pop sound. His career progressed from self-released EPs to a major-label record deal, marking a significant turning point in his artistic development. This shift allowed him to reach a wider audience and further develop his musical identity.

In 2017, Pillsbury adopted the name ROLE MODEL and moved from rapping to singing. Within a year of independently releasing his initial EPs, he secured a deal with Interscope Records through Benny Blanco’s Mad Love label. This partnership led to the release of several projects, including the extended plays “oh, how perfect” in 2019 and “Our Little Angel” in 2020. These releases established his presence in the music industry and showcased his evolving style.

His debut album, “Rx,” was released in 2022, further solidifying his position as an artist capable of crafting introspective and engaging pop music. In 2024, he followed up with his album “Kansas Anymore,” which continued to explore themes of emotion and personal experience. A deluxe version of this album, “Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye),” was released in 2025, alongside singles such as “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” His work has been characterized by an authentic approach to songwriting, resonating with a growing fanbase.
