Ronnie Dunn

Ronnie Dunn, an influential voice in country music and half of the award-winning duo Brooks & Dunn, has established a significant legacy through his musical career and various solo projects. After releasing two minor singles, ‘It’s Written All Over Your Face’ (1983) and ‘She Put the Sad in All His Songs’ (1984), with Churchill/MCA Records, Ronnie Dunn partnered with Kix Brooks in 1990 to form Brooks & Dunn. This duo quickly became one of the most awarded in country music history. Their debut album, ‘Brand New Man’ (1991), was certified six-times platinum by the RIAA, setting the stage for their prolific career.

He later signed with NASH Icon, an imprint of Big Machine Label Group, in 2015, subsequently releasing his album ‘Tattooed Heart’ in 2016. In 2015, Brooks & Dunn reunited for a series of successful concerts with Reba McEntire, signaling their enduring appeal. The widespread demand for their music led to Brooks & Dunn’s official reunion, culminating in the release of ‘Reboot’ in 2019. This album featured collaborations with contemporary country artists, showcasing the duo’s lasting influence across generations.

His ongoing impact was further highlighted when Brooks & Dunn received the prestigious CMA Vocal Duo of the Year award in 2024. Looking ahead, Dunn is set to be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025, an honor that underscores his significant cultural impact and enduring legacy in the music industry.
