Ben Rector

Ben Rector is a Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and record producer known for his piano-driven pop music and independent artistic approach. After winning the Pop category in the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2006, Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and record producer Ben Rector went on to release his first full-length album, ‘Twenty Tomorrow,’ in 2007. His early career saw him recognized as Best Male Singer-Songwriter at the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards (NAMA) in 2009. Rector gained wider industry recognition with his 2010 album, ‘Into the Morning,’ which charted at No.

11 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers. He continued his ascent with ‘Something Like This’ in 2011, making its debut on the Billboard 200, followed by ‘The Walking in Between’ in 2013, which peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, establishing his consistent chart presence as an independent artist operating his own label, OK Kid Recordings. Rector’s 2015 album, ‘Brand New,’ marked a significant milestone, becoming his first album to enter the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and topping the Billboard Folk chart.

The album’s lead single, ‘Brand New,’ achieved RIAA Gold certification in 2020 and later Platinum certification in 2023. His 2018 album, ‘Magic,’ further solidified his position, peaking at No. 1 on Billboard US Folk and reaching No. 2 on both Billboard US Rock and US Indie charts.

Building on his extensive catalog, Ben Rector released ‘The Joy of Music’ in 2022, a collaborative album featuring acclaimed artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dave Koz, and Kenny G. Most recently, in 2024, Rector was honored with a GMA Dove Award for ‘Joy (The Choir Room Version).’ Looking ahead, he is set to release his latest project, ‘The Richest Man in the World,’ in 2025, continuing his trajectory as a celebrated and independent force in music.
