Ruth Berhe, who is popularly known by her stage name Ruth B, is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta. Born on July 2, 1995, Ruth is of Ethiopian descent. Inspired by the likes of Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Taylor Swift, Ruth B started singing and writing songs at a young age.
Ruth’s music career kicked off in early 2013 when she began posting her self-penned songs on Vine. Her soulful voice and poignant lyrics quickly gained her a massive fan base. In 2015, she caught the attention of Columbia Records, who signed her to a record deal.
