Shuvro Dev, a celebrated Bangladeshi musician, has garnered national recognition for his melodious voice and significant contributions to music, culminating in the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 2024. After receiving the prestigious President’s Award in music at BTV’s ‘Nutun Kuri’ contest in 1978, Shuvro Dev went on to establish himself as a prominent figure in Bangladeshi popular music. He officially launched his professional music career in the mid-1980s, specializing in modern romantic songs. His debut album, ‘Hemiloner Bashiwala,’ released in 1984, marked his formal entry into the music industry and quickly garnered significant popularity across the region.

By June 2014, Shuvro Dev had released a substantial discography comprising a total of 25 albums. His works during this period include critically recognized albums such as ‘Jewel Shmoroney,’ ‘Jey Banshi Bhengey Gechhey,’ and ‘Lolita.’ Notably, his album ‘Lolita’ featured compositions by the esteemed Bidit Lal Das, further showcasing Dev’s commitment to collaborating with distinguished musical talents.
