Sinan Akçıl was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on May 20, 1981. He is the son of musician Saim Akçıl, which exposed him to music from an early age. His career began with work on Emel Müftüoglu’s eighth studio album, ‘Arabesk.’ Following this, he collaborated with artists such as Yaşar and Zeynep Cassalini, establishing himself in the Turkish music industry. His professional profile encompasses roles as a composer, singer-songwriter, and record producer.
A significant milestone in Akçıl’s career was his collaboration with Turkish pop singer Izel Çeliköz, which brought him broader recognition. He further gained international attention for co-writing and producing Hadise’s song “Düm Tek Tek,” which represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 and achieved fourth place. Throughout his career, Akçıl has worked with numerous prominent Turkish artists, including Ferhat Göçer, Gülben Ergen, Ziynet Sali, Mustafa Sandal, and Demet Akalın.
Akçıl transitioned into releasing his own music, with his debut album ‘Kalp Sesi’ in 2011. He continued to release studio albums like ‘Karnaval’ (2012), ‘Kapı’ (2013), ‘Tabi Tabi’ (2014), ‘Best of Aşk’ (2015), ‘Yüzyılın Aşkı’ (2017), and the ‘Piyanist’ series (2020, 2022, 2023).
