Sodagreen

Sodagreen is a prominent Taiwanese indie band known for their consistent membership, distinctive sound blending rock and classical influences, and a history of significant industry awards and large-scale concert productions. After winning the Grand Jury Award at the Hohaiyan Gongliau Rock Festival in 2004, Sodagreen went on to sign with Willlin Music and release their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, ‘sodagreen,’ in 2005. Comprising their enduring lineup since 2003—Wu Qing-Feng (lead vocals), Hsieh Shin-Yi (bass), Liu Jia-Kai (guitar), Shih Jun-Wei (drums), Ho Jing-Yang (guitar), and Kung Yu-Chi (piano)—the band quickly established itself as a leading force in Taiwanese indie music. Their early success included securing the Best Band Award at the 18th Golden Melody Awards in 2007, the same year they became the first independent band to hold a concert at the prestigious Taipei Arena.

Concurrently, Sodagreen is undertaking an extensive project to re-record their celebrated ‘Vivaldi Project’ albums under their restored name, with anticipated releases extending into 2025. This ongoing work reaffirms their legacy while continuing to evolve their distinctive sound for a global audience.
