Yumi Zouma

Yumi Zouma is an alternative pop band recognized for their blend of dream pop, electronic, and indie pop, regularly touring and releasing new music. After gaining significant attention within the music blogosphere with their unique remote collaborations, Yumi Zouma went on to sign with American label Cascine before ever performing live or holding a band practice. The band, comprised of Christie Simpson, Josh Burgess, Charlie Ryder, and Olivia Campion, fostered their distinctive sound through email-based songwriting, a method adopted after members moved abroad. This early material culminated in their debut, ‘EP I,’ released in early 2014, followed by ‘EP II’ in 2015.

Demonstrating their remarkable adaptability in a globally challenging period, the band released their fourth full-length album, ‘Present Tense,’ in 2022. This album was notably recorded remotely across multiple global locations during the COVID-19 pandemic, further showcasing their innovative working methods and continued musical evolution.
