Sofiane Pamart, born on April 25, 1990, in Hellemmes-Lille, France, began his musical journey at an early age. He enrolled at the Conservatoire de Lille at seven, studying piano and classical music for sixteen years. Pamart’s dedication led him to achieve the Conservatory Gold Medal at 23, performing works by Maurice Ravel and Frédéric Chopin. Concurrently, he earned a university degree in musicology and another in piano performance, further solidifying his academic and practical foundation in music. His educational background also includes a master’s degree in law, economics, and management from the University of Lyon, and a degree in business administration from École de Management des Industries Créatives.
Pamart initially gained recognition as a leading pianist in the French rap scene, collaborating with artists such as Vald, SCH, Laylow, and Scylla. His contributions extended to songwriting, earning gold singles for Koba LaD ft. Maes’s “Matin” and Vald’s “Journal Perso II” in 2019. That same year, he launched his solo career with the album *Planet*, which seamlessly integrated classical, rap, jazz, and oriental sounds. This album, along with *Letter* and *Noche*, achieved significant commercial success, including platinum and gold certifications. His unique approach to instrumental music, often delivered in a kimono and characterized by cinematic scope, has garnered a substantial following.
Sofiane Pamart holds the distinction of being the first solo pianist to sell out the Accor Arena in Paris in 2022, a notable achievement in the music industry. His career progression includes performing a full show under the Northern Lights in Lapland, presenting at the Louvre, and playing at the Czech Royal Family’s castle in Prague, demonstrating his global reach and versatile performance settings. He has also engaged in high-profile brand partnerships, further showcasing his appeal across diverse sectors. In a significant recent event, Pamart performed John Lennon’s “Imagine” alongside Juliette Armanet at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics, highlighting his role in major international cultural events.
