The Band Camino was established in 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee, while its founding members, Andrew Isbell, Jeffery Jordan, Graham Rowell, and Spencer Stewart, were students at the University of Memphis. Isbell played drums, Rowell played bass, and Jordan and Stewart contributed vocals and guitar. The band released its first EP, “My Thoughts On You,” in 2016. This was followed by their second EP, “Heaven,” in 2017. During this period, Isbell departed the band and Garrison Burgess joined as his replacement.
By May 2019, The Band Camino had signed with Elektra Records and subsequently released the EP “tryhard” in August of the same year. To support this release, the band conducted a headlining tour across North America from September to October, including two dates in the United Kingdom. On April 9, 2020, bassist Graham Rowell was removed from the group. The band released “Crying Over You” with Chelsea Cutler on July 31, 2020. The group’s self-titled debut album was released on September 10, 2021, and featured singles such as “Roses,” “1 Last Cigarette,” “Sorry Mom,” and “Know It All.” The album was preceded by the release of several singles throughout late 2020 and early 2021.
In 2023, The Band Camino released new music, beginning with the single “Told You So” on February 21, followed by “What Am I Missing?” on April 21, and “Last Man in the World” on May 26. They performed at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival for the first time on June 17, 2023. The band announced their second album, “The Dark,” which was released on August 11, 2023, accompanied by a North American tour titled “Screaming In The Dark Tour.” The album included the single “See You Later.” On February 25, 2024, the band performed in Manila, Philippines, at the Bobapalooza Music and Arts Festival. In May 2024, they announced the EP “Bruises,” released on May 17, 2024, along with “The Taking Shape Tour.” On July 25, 2025, the band released their album “NeverAlways,” featuring singles “Baggy Jeans,” “Stupid Questions,” and “What You Can’t Have.” Another single, “12:34,” was released on October 6, 2025.
