Underoath

Underoath began their impactful career by signing with Takehold Records in 1999, releasing debut album Act of Depression (2,000+ copies sold), followed by Cries of the Past (2000, 3,000 units). By 2001, the band secured a deal with Solid State Records. With Spencer Chamberlain joining as lead vocalist in 2003, Underoath achieved breakthrough commercial success with the 2004 album, They’re Only Chasing Safety. It sold nearly 100,000 copies in its first week, earning RIAA Gold certification (500,000+ units), and was supported by appearances on the 2003 Warped Tour and 2005 Taste of Chaos tour.

Petersburg, Florida in 2024. Underoath will release their tenth studio album, The Place After This One, in March 2025. With a nearly two-decade career, Underoath has consistently bridged underground experimentation and mainstream appeal, solidifying an influential voice in progressive heavy rock through continuous artistic development and sustained genre impact.
