Ventino is a vibrant Latin pop girl group formed in Bogotá, Colombia, consisting of talented members María Cristina “Makis” de Angulo, Camila Esguerra, Natalia Afanador, and Olga Lucía Vives. The group first gained popularity through their engaging YouTube covers, showcasing their vocal harmonies and charisma. Their journey began in 2014 when Camila and Natalia uploaded a mashup cover that quickly garnered attention, leading to the formation of the group in 2015 with the help of producer Juan David Muñoz.
In 2016, Ventino signed with Sony Music Colombia, marking a significant milestone in their career. They released their debut single “Me Equivoqué” on October 14, 2016, which achieved over 95 million views, establishing them as a rising force in the Latin pop scene. Their subsequent singles, including “Apaga y Vamonos” and “Si Decides (Baby),” further expanded their reach across Latin America and Spain, solidifying their popularity. In 2017, they released a Christmas album, “Ya Es Navidad,” showcasing their versatility and commitment to their craft.
The group’s self-titled debut album, released on August 17, 2018, was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, featuring tracks that resonated with fans and highlighted their musical growth. As they approached their ninth year together, Ventino announced their final album, “Inevitables,” set to release on April 25, 2024, before their split.
