Mexican singer Virlan Garcia may be young, but he’s already gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting South American artists on the scene today.
Garcia’s career started when he was a teenager, growing up in Sinaloa in Mexico where he wrote his own songs and performed them locally. He became known in the area, and in 2017 reached the Billboard charts for the first time with his album Mi Vida Eres Tu. Garcia continued to build on his reputation, reaching the top 10 twice more in the coming years in the Regional Mexican Airplay charts. In 2018 he played a sold out show in his native Mexico, performing in front of a crowd of 55,000 people at the age of just 20 years old. His mixture of traditional sounds with more modern Latin influences has proved popular, and he is now enjoying success outside of his home country, with fans across the United States and the rest of the world. As well as being a singer, Garcia also writes for other musicians, and has written tracks for other popular artists such as Gerardo Ortiz and Regulo Caro.
Most recently, Garcia has been working on new music as well as planning more tour dates to promote his upcoming album. Despite being relatively young and new to the international scene, this South American star has already proved he is one to watch with many more years of success ahead of him.
