Although the band disbanded, Hoge’s passion for music propelled him forward, leading him to independently release his first live album, *Live At The Exit/In*, which showcased his raw talent and garnered attention from music enthusiasts.

In 2002, Hoge’s career took a significant turn when he signed with Atlantic Records, leading to the re-release of his debut studio album, *Carousel*. His follow-up album, *Blackbird On A Lonely Wire*, further solidified his presence in the music industry, despite facing promotional challenges. Hoge’s resilience shone through as he regained control of his music and continued to produce compelling albums, including *The Man Who Killed Love* and the politically charged *The America EP*.

Throughout his career, Hoge has shared the stage with renowned artists such as ZZ Top, Jason Isbell, and Shinedown, showcasing his versatility and appeal. His ability to connect with audiences is evident in his extensive touring, which has allowed him to build a loyal fan base. Notably, he recorded the theme song for the CBS sitcom *Still Standing*, further expanding his reach in the entertainment industry.
