About

Aaron Goodvin, born in Spirit River, Alberta, Canada, began his musical journey by winning a local singing competition at age 12. As a teenager, his family relocated to St. Albert, Alberta. At 25, Goodvin moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to advance his country music career. He initially secured a songwriting contract with Warner Chappell Music, which led to him writing “Out Like That” for Luke Bryan’s 2013 album, “Crash My Party.” Scottish-Canadian country singer Johnny Reid mentored Goodvin and brought him on as an opening act, which subsequently led to a recording contract with Warner Music Canada in April 2016.

Goodvin’s self-titled debut album was released in 2016 by Warner Music Canada, generating three entries on the Billboard Canada Country charts. His single “Lonely Drum” achieved double-platinum certification from Music Canada and earned a nomination for Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards. In 2018, he secured an American record deal with Reviver Records. His second album, “V,” released in 2019, featured singles such as “You Are,” “Bars & Churches,” “Good Ol’ Bad Days,” and “Every Time You Take Your Time.” “V” also received a Juno Award nomination for Country Album of the Year at the 2020 Juno Awards.

In 2022, Goodvin signed a new Canadian record deal with Sakamoto Music and released the single “You Ain’t” featuring Meghan Patrick. He has penned hits for prominent country artists including Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, and Cole Swindell, further cementing his reputation as a songwriter. Goodvin has toured extensively across Canada, the US, and Europe, including a sold-out headline tour in 2023. His upcoming EP, “Drinkin’ Hand,” is scheduled for release in February 2025, building on his previous EP “Lucky Stars.”
