Abby Huntsman

Abigail Haight Huntsman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 1, 1986. She spent her early years in Utah and lived in Taiwan and Singapore during her father’s diplomatic postings. Huntsman attended the University of Utah for her freshman year before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and communications in 2008. Her journey in media began behind the scenes at ‘Good Morning America’ at age 16, and she later interned with Diane Sawyer, which influenced her approach to journalism.

Huntsman’s professional career includes a role as a host and producer for HuffPost Live, The Huffington Post’s streaming network, and frequent appearances on CNN. She gained further recognition working on her father’s 2012 presidential campaign as a media advisor. In 2013, she joined MSNBC’s ‘The Cycle’ as a co-host, providing a conservative viewpoint to the program. In October 2015, Huntsman transitioned to Fox News as a general assignment reporter, covering news across various programs. She was later promoted to co-host of ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ in December 2016.

A significant turn in her career occurred in September 2018 when Huntsman joined ABC’s long-running talk show ‘The View’ as a co-host. During her tenure, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host in 2019. In January 2020, Huntsman announced her departure from ‘The View’ to serve as a senior advisor for her father’s 2020 gubernatorial campaign in Utah.
