Nina Christen

Nina Christen established herself as a formidable talent in sport shooting, securing a silver medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions junior category at the World Championships in Granada in 2014. Her early career trajectory continued with her Olympic debut at the Rio 2016 Games, where she competed in both the women’s 10-meter air rifle and the 50-meter rifle three positions events. Christen further solidified her international standing at the European Games in Minsk in 2019, earning a gold medal in the 50m rifle prone mixed event and a silver medal in the 10m air rifle competition. The pinnacle of Christen’s career unfolded at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

Christen maintained her elite competitive form in subsequent years, earning a silver medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions team event at the 2022 World Championships. Her dominance continued at the 2023 European Games in Kraków-Ma?opolska, where she secured multiple gold medals in the 10m air rifle, the 10m air rifle team, and the 50m rifle 3 positions mixed team events. During the same games, she also added a silver medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions team competition. Her outstanding contributions to military sports were formally recognized when she was honored as the CISM Athlete of the Year in 2023.

Most recently, Christen competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, participating in the 10m Air Rifle Women and 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women events, where she finished 23rd and 21st respectively.
