Nina Christen was born on February 7, 1994, in Stans, Switzerland. She began her Olympic career participating in the Rio 2016 Games, competing in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event and the 50-meter rifle three positions event. In 2014, she secured a silver medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions junior category at the World Championships in Granada. Her early career also included significant achievements at the European Games, where she earned gold in the 50m rifle prone mixed event in Minsk (2019) and silver in the 10m air rifle. She continued to build her reputation by securing multiple gold medals at the 2023 European Games in Kraków-Małopolska in the 10m air rifle, 10m air rifle team, and 50m rifle 3 positions mixed team events.
The pinnacle of Christen’s career came at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. She achieved a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air rifle event, followed by a gold medal in the women’s 50m rifle three positions.
