Adah Sharma

Adah Sharma is an Indian actress known for her performances in Hindi and South Indian cinema, transitioning from horror films to diverse roles across multiple languages. After securing her debut lead role in the 2008 Hindi horror film ‘1920,’ which became a commercial success, Adah Sharma quickly established herself as a versatile actress in Indian cinema. Her compelling portrayal of a possessed woman in ‘1920’ garnered critical acclaim and earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut nomination in 2009. Sharma followed this success with roles in films such as ‘Phhir’ (2011) and ‘Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke’ (2013).

In 2014, she made a significant Telugu debut in Puri Jagannadh’s romance ‘Heart Attack,’ which achieved commercial success and earned praise for her natural acting ability. The same year, she appeared in the commercially successful Hindi film ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, further solidifying her presence in the industry. Sharma continued to diversify her portfolio, featuring in the 2015 Telugu family drama ‘S/O Satyamurthy,’ which became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year. She is also a trained Kathak dancer, having graduated from the Natraj Gopi Krishna Kathak Dance Institute, and has further studied salsa, jazz, and ballet.
