Adam Demos

Adam Demos was born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, on May 24, 1985. His mother, Lindy Demos, is of Greek descent. He attended Tarrawanna Public School and graduated from Dapto High School in 2003. Before pursuing acting full-time, Demos worked in various manual labor roles, including construction for his father’s demolition business, at the Wollongong steelworks, for a roofing company, and in hospitality at Bondi’s Hotel Ravesis. His interest in acting began early, but he initially kept his enrollment in an acting class at Screenwise Film & TV Acting School in Sydney a secret at age 23. His mother encouraged him in this career path.

Demos began his acting career with small roles in Australia. A notable early appearance was in 2012 as the ‘Solo Man’ in an advertising campaign for the Australian soft drink brand. In 2017, he secured the role of Nate Baldwin in the ABC Australia drama ‘Janet King’. During this period, he learned about a Hollywood role specifically written for an Australian actor, which led to his casting in the third season of Lifetime’s ‘UnREAL’ as August Walker, a significant step in his international career. Filming ‘UnREAL’ presented a unique challenge, being his first international production and involving a show-within-a-show format.

His career advanced further with key roles in Netflix productions. In 2019, Demos starred alongside Christina Milian in the Netflix film ‘Falling Inn Love’, which was filmed in New Zealand. This was followed by a main role as Brad Simon in the Netflix series ‘Sex/Life’ (2021–2023), inspired by the book ’44 Chapters About 4 Men’. For this role, he took singing and guitar lessons to prepare for a specific scene. In May 2022, he starred opposite Victoria Justice in another Netflix film, ‘A Perfect Pairing’. Demos is set to appear in upcoming projects like ‘Spa Weekend’ and ‘Rescue: HI-Surf’ (2024–2025).
