He penned “Mouse Hunt” and “Small Soldiers” for DreamWorks, “Underdog” for Walt Disney Studios, and “Zoom,” starring Tim Allen. His writing credits also include “Knucklehead” for WWE Studios. Beyond commercial successes, Rifkin has also directed critically acclaimed independent films such as “THE LAST MOVIE STAR” (2017), starring Burt Reynolds, Ariel Winter, and Chevy Chase, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was acquired by A24. He also directed “DIRECTOR’S CUT” (2016), a meta-thriller that opened the Slamdance Film Festival, and the documentary “GIUSEPPE MAKES A MOVIE” (2014), which earned a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. His work on “LOOK” (2007), a drama exploring surveillance, led to him executive producing “LOOK: The Series” for Showtime, achieving high ratings for the network. Rifkin continues to be an active presence in film and television, with numerous projects in various stages of development.
Adam Rifkin is currently involved in several upcoming productions, including writing and directing “Toad” (currently filming) and directing and producing “Last Train to Fortune” (in post-production). Other future projects include writing and producing “PEEPS,” an animated feature based on the iconic candies.
