Born on May 18, 1992, in Bondville, Vermont, Hannah Goldy developed an early interest in sports, participating in snowboarding, track, and cross-country running. Her introduction to martial arts came in 2014 while living in Manhattan, after attending a boxing event. This experience led her to pursue martial arts, engaging in a boxing match and three Muay Thai fights, from which she emerged victorious in all four. These early experiences provided a strong foundation for her transition into mixed martial arts.
Goldy’s professional mixed martial arts career began in 2016. She made her professional debut at Island Fights 37 on March 11, 2016, where she secured a unanimous decision victory against Gillian Robertson, who would later also compete in the UFC. She continued to build her record, achieving wins against Vanessa Marie Grimes via TKO at Island Fights 46, Lisa Blaine via unanimous decision at Premier FC 26, and Shannon Goughary via unanimous decision at Island Fights 50. Her consistent performance led to an invitation to Dana White’s Contender Series 17 in June 2019, where she defeated Kali Robbins by unanimous decision, though she was not offered a UFC contract at that time.
Despite not immediately signing with the UFC after the Contender Series, Goldy eventually made her UFC debut against Miranda Granger at UFC on ESPN: Covington vs. Lawler on August 3, 2019. Over her tenure in the UFC, she faced various opponents across the Flyweight and Strawweight divisions. A significant achievement during her UFC career was a first-round armbar submission victory over Emily Whitmire at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Spann on September 18, 2021. Following her UFC departure in October 2023, Goldy continued to compete, securing an armbar submission win against Tayde Garcia at XFC 50 on April 12, 2024, marking a new phase in her career. She has also engaged in professional grappling, including a victory via armbar at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5 in December 2023.
