Alan Gordon is a distinguished former professional soccer player from the United States, known for his impactful career primarily as a forward. He began his soccer journey at Yavapai College, where he showcased his scoring prowess by netting 39 goals in just two seasons. His talent earned him a transfer to Oregon State University, where he continued to excel, scoring 40 goals and setting multiple program records while receiving All-Pac-10 honors twice.

Gordon was drafted 53rd overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the Los Angeles Galaxy but initially signed with the Portland Timbers in the A-League. His remarkable debut season saw him score 17 goals, earning him the A-League Rookie of the Year title and helping the Timbers secure a first-place finish. He later returned to the Galaxy, where he made his MLS debut and contributed significantly to the team’s success, including a memorable performance in the 2007 SuperLiga campaign.
