Alan Page is a distinguished American former Minnesota Supreme Court judge and professional football player, renowned for his remarkable contributions to both sports and law. He began his athletic career at the University of Notre Dame, where he gained national acclaim as a defensive tackle, leading the Fighting Irish to a national championship in 1966. Page was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 1967, where he played for 11 seasons, becoming a key member of the legendary “Purple People Eaters” defense. His exceptional performance earned him the NFL MVP award in 1971, making him the first defensive player in history to receive this honor. Page’s career was marked by numerous accolades, including six All-Pro selections and nine Pro Bowl appearances, solidifying his status as one of the greatest defensive linemen in NFL history.
