Alex Blue Davis was born in Los Angeles, CA, on April 23, 1983. He is the child of actor Brad Davis and casting director Susan Bluestein. Early in his career, he began to build a portfolio that included both acting and music production. In 2011-2013, he was a soundtrack artist for the TV series “Bloomers,” contributing songs like “Oh Sugar” and “Frosty.” His acting credits began to accumulate in television, with an appearance as Michael in “NCIS: Los Angeles” in 2015 and as Bradley in the short film “The Better Sister” in 2016. He later appeared as Vernon Palumbo in “NCIS” in 2017.
Davis gained wider recognition for his role as Dr. Casey Parker on the medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy,” appearing in 28 episodes from 2017 to 2020. During this period, he also reprised the role in “Grey’s Anatomy: The Webisodes” in 2018 for 3 episodes and in the spin-off series “Station 19” in 2020. His work on “Grey’s Anatomy” marked a significant milestone as he portrayed one of the first recurring transgender characters on prime-time network television.
