At sixteen years old, Alexandra Daddario debuted onscreen as Laurie Lewis on the long-running soap opera, All My Children. And her career hasn’t slowed down since: not only has she starred in countless blockbuster films, but she’s been nominated for MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards for action, comedy, fantasy, and horror, proving her versatility as an actress.
Hailing from New York, eleven-year-old Daddario decided to pursue acting, leading her parents to enroll her at the Professional Children’s School for young actors. After her breakout role in All My Children, she guest-starred on hit shows like The Sopranos and Law & Order before ultimately landing the role of Annabeth in the film series, Percy Jackson, based off Rick Riordan’s best-selling novels. She beat out hundreds of girls for this part, shooting her to superstardom. Still, Daddario credits her role in the HBO Series, True Detective, for her fame, where she famously played Woody Harrelson’s girlfriend.
Now, Daddario has over sixty acting credits, to date. Whether she’s guest-starring on popular series like Parenthood, New Girl, or American Horror Story, holding more prominent roles like Jade in Why Women Kill or Kate in White Collar, or featuring on talk shows like Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, or The Late Late Show with James Corden, Daddario can be seen across television. Additionally, she’s starred in music videos by Imagine Dragons and Maroon 5, and she’s lent her voice to projects for Marvel videogames, as well as the critically-acclaimed animated film, Superman: Man of Tomorrow.
However, Daddario mostly appears on the big screen: she’s acted across “The Rock” in the films San Andreas, as well as Baywatch, where she played Zac Efron’s love interest. Other notable films include Summon the Darkness, Hall Pass, and Texas Chainsaw 3D.
