Alexey Silde, a former World Champion in Latin ballroom dancing, launched his illustrious career in 1996, quickly making his mark in national amateur competitions. A pivotal moment arrived in 1999 when he partnered with Anna Firstova, a collaboration that would define a highly successful era in competitive dance. Together, Silde and Firstova achieved widespread recognition, earning the esteemed title of three-time Russian National Amateur Latin Champions. Their amateur career also saw them secure two WDSF World Amateur Latin Championship titles and clinch the WDSF World Games Latin Championship.
