American actress Ali Ewoldt is best-known for her theatre work having performed in hit musicals on Broadway and has toured internationally.
Growing up just outside New York, Ewoldt has had a love for the performing arts throughout her life. Early on in her career, Ewoldt enjoyed performing in the role of Jasmine at Disneyland. Her big break came soon after when she joined the ensemble as part of the US national tour of Les Misérables, before going on to understudy as Cosette. Her impressive performance went on to earn her the role of Cosette in the Broadway revival the musical during 2006. Since then Ewoldt’s theatrical career has gone from strength to strength, seeing her perform in prestigious venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall. She has starred in musicals including the 50th-anniversary international tour of West Side Story, The Fantasticks and the 2015 Broadway revival of The King and I. More recently from 2016-2018 Ewoldt became the first Asian-American performer to take on the role of Christine Daae in the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera. During 2019 Ewoldt also enjoyed regional roles in the musicals 1776 and Guys and Dolls.
When she’s not on stage, Ewoldt has made appearances in DRAMA: The Web series, The Michael J. Fox Show and the short film Yield. Adding to her many talents, Ewoldt also graduated from Yale with a BA in Phycology.
