Ali Kolbert graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Following her graduation, she secured a position as an NBC Page at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. In this role, she gained experience working on several television productions, including Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. This early career period provided foundational exposure to the television entertainment industry.
In 2017, Ali Kolbert made her television debut as a stand-up comedian on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She has since expanded her television appearances, including roles on The TODAY Show, NBC’s Bring The Funny, and multiple episodes of TruTV’s Comedy Knockout. Her stand-up work also includes a sophomore performance on A Little Late with Lily Singh. In 2021, Kolbert starred as a lead in TruTV’s half-hour comedy series, Top Secret Videos, alongside Ron Funches and Brian Posehn. She has been recognized in Variety Magazine’s comedy issue and profiled by Forbes Under 30.
Ali Kolbert was named one of New York’s Funniest in 2019 and was later designated one of Just For Laugh’s 2022 New Faces. She continues to perform stand-up comedy regularly. In addition to her live performances and television work, she hosts a podcast on Spotify titled ‘Breaking Down with Ali Kolbert,’ which has contributed to her combined social media following of over 300,000.
