The amazing Allie Sherlock is a wonderfully talented singer, songwriter, and musician, with an incredible voice and a natural stage presence. She shot to fame in 2017 when a video of her busking on the streets of Cork – performing a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket Flowers – went viral on Facebook. She was just 12-years-old at the time.
Born and raised in Douglas, Cork City, Ireland, Sherlock started playing the guitar when she was 10. She later started to busk on the streets of Cork and Dublin, and her father filmed her renditions of famous songs, posting the videos to her own YouTube channel in 2014. Her obvious talent soon got noticed, and she built up a huge following which currently stands at over 4.5m subscribers. In 2018, she took the world by storm with an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she performed Adele’s Million Years Ago, and then announced that she was signing a five-year recording contract with Patriot Records. In 2020 she performed with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and was also part of Irish Women in Harmony, a collective of female artists who recorded a version of The Cranberries’ hit single Dreams in aid of a domestic abuse charity.
Sherlock regularly connects with her millions of fans and followers through Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, posting pictures and videos of her performances. She also has her own self-titled YouTube channel, as well as an official website, alliesherlock.com.
