Allie Sherlock

Allie Sherlock was born on April 7, 2005, in Douglas, Cork, Ireland. She began her musical journey by busking through the streets of Cork, and later, from the age of 11, performed almost weekly on Grafton Street in Dublin, Ireland. Her father managed her music career, filming and uploading her performances to YouTube. Sherlock initially gained widespread attention in June 2017 when a video of her covering Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers” went viral on YouTube. This early exposure led to significant opportunities, including an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in early 2018 where she performed Adele’s “Million Years Ago.”

Sherlock’s career progressed rapidly following her viral success. In 2018, she signed a five-year contract with Patriot Records, a label owned by Ryan Tedder, the lead vocalist of OneRepublic. This deal solidified her position in the music industry and opened doors to larger stages. She has performed at notable venues like the Cork Opera House in December 2016, Cyprus Avenue in Cork in December 2018, and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin in April 2019. Internationally, she performed at the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall in Hamburg, Germany, in early 2020 and supported OneRepublic during their European tour in March 2020 with concerts in Paris, Cologne, Utrecht, and the London Palladium.

Throughout her career, Sherlock has showcased her talent not only through cover songs but also with original compositions. In February 2020, she released her first extended play (EP), featuring a cover of Etta James’s “At Last.” She collaborated with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in June 2020 for RTÉ’s Home School Hub and was part of “Irish Women in Harmony,” a collective that recorded a version of “Dreams” to support a domestic abuse charity. By 2022, she was actively writing songs in the studio alongside Kodaline guitarist Steve Garrigan. On April 7, 2023, she released her album, “Allie,” consisting of 11 cover songs, marking a significant milestone in her recording career.
